The Women Beneath
A contemporary interpretation of the myth of Medusa, this work explores transformation, feminine power, and the reclaiming of identity. Serpents intertwine with the figure like both a crown and a protective force, symbolizing change, resilience, and rebirth. Delicate flowers soften their presence, creating a tension between vulnerability and strength. Rather than portraying Medusa as a monster, the piece reimagines her as a modern symbol of transformation—turning an ancient myth into a reflection on identity, perception, and empowerment.
